Conditions on the Photography Contest
Club Deportivo de Parapente Flypa, cooperative organizer of the 5th International Paragliding Festival of Los Realejos, Flypa ’09, by means of the agreement with the Town Council of Los Realejos, realeses the current photography contest, with the aim at choosing the best photos, among those presented to the contest regarding Flypa ’09.
First
The subject will be a freelance work, but it will be specially regarded the promotion and the identification of the Festival as well as the flight area where the paragliding event takes place, or about the overall gliding setting.
This contest deals with two forms: one group for the paragliding pilots and paragliding professionals and another one for people in general, except for the members of the organisation.
Second
The photos have to be delivered in the digital form and each author must bring the wires to download them to the computer from the camera device, and they can be recorded in colour or in black and white.
The format records which are admitted are of the kind of JPEG, GIF. The acceptance of these records will depend on the decisions of the festival organisation. The minimum size of the photography archive will be about 3,2 mega pixels.
In case it is necessary to download those photos through any different method like the card reader, it must be given by the author, and the acceptance of the photos will depend on the technical viability of the download.
The participants will make a previous selection of at least 15 photo works and they will deliver the number of the photo archive for the final selection.
Third
The contest juries panel will be presided over by at least three people with enough experience on the photography and artwork contest chosen by the festival organisation.
It is established the delivery of three prizes in each of the two forms. The endowment of these prizes will be known before the celebration of the festival.
Fourth
The photo works could be delivered on April 30th, 1st and 2nd May from 16:00 to 18:00 hours and on May 3th from 13:00 to 15:00 hours, in the stand the festival organisation will set up in El Socorro Beach.
The organisation can use the presented photos in the contest with the aim at promoting FLYPA every time it is necessary, pointing out the name of the author.
Fifth
The panel of juries will be able to decide the photos which can be left out the contest if they estimate that those ones break the conditions already set up on the current conditions.
That panel has the right to declare that the Photography Contest or any of its prizes cannot be awarded, if the delivered photos do not have the minimum requirements.
Sixth
The selection of the awarded photos will take place on May 3th and the winners will be known during the closing function of FLYPA ’09, in El Socorro Beach from 21:30.
The decision of the jury will be taken by the majority of the members and against their agreement there are not any proceedings.
Taking part on this contest implies that the participants must known and accept all the rules established in the current conditions.
